Thanks for visiting Bebek Maternity.
The idea for Bebek Maternity came about when I was pregnant for the first time recently and faced with the impossible task of shopping for the perfect maternity jeans. Everywhere I looked the jeans were either a hideous fit, cut or style, or worse still, ridiculously expensive. As I looked further and further into maternity clothes – I could not believe what retailers were expecting pregnant women to pay for basic items. Yes, I still wanted to look good, but I was also about to go on unpaid maternity leave AND I was in the frame of mind where I wanted to spend every extra dollar I had on my new baby. For the first time in my life $200 for a pair of jeans I’m only going to wear for a few months was a big ask. And so Bebek (Turkish for baby) Maternity was born.
Bebek Maternity is all about sourcing and stocking affordable, classic basics for women who still want to look good, but would rather save their money for the things that really matter. Like all new businesses, we’re starting small with a limited range of pregnancy must-have items such as jeans, cargo pants and classic t-shirts (all at prices that won’t break the bank!), but check back in as we’ll be adding new categories and items as we grow, such as dresses and outerwear.
